2009 PROVED SUCCESSFUL FOR FONZWORTH BENTLEY WITH SECOND SEASON OF MTV REALITY SHOW, GILLETTE AND THE SOUL TRAIN AWARDS

Readies for 2010 with the release of new single, album and more

(New York, NY—December 18, 2009)- 2009 has been a stellar year for Fonzworth Bentley.
Having enjoyed a successful second season as host and co-producer of his hit MTV reality show “From G’s to Gents,” Bentley still finds a way to make an impact in the lives of those he touches. Mentoring and guiding those that still seek his assistance is making a positive change in their lives and the community. Since the release of his best selling book in 2006, Advance Your Swagger: How to Use Manners, Confidence and Style to Get Ahead (Random House), which is the basis of the reality show and continues to be a driving force, Bentley has toured over 80 colleges and universities in the country speaking to young men and women.

Lending his gentleman style, Bentley joined Gillette and Rolling Out Magazine as the celebrity host of the Gillette Fusion’s MVP Prime Time 5 City Tour. Presenting the “Men of Style Award”, Bentley joined Gillette in Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. and Atlanta, honoring local barbers and style icons who embraced Gillette’s motto “The Best a Man Can Get.” Celebrities honored during the tour include: rapper Big Boi (Outkast), Publisher/ Entrepreneur Bernard Bronner, Rev. Al Sharpton, Councilman Kwame Brown (Washington, D.C.), actor Lance Gross, Atlanta on-air personality Ryan Cameron (V-103) and more.

Regarding his success and aspirations for the future, Bentley stated, “I definitely have been blessed with many opportunities this year,” states Bentley. “If 2009 is any indication of what the next year will bring, well then I am ready to walk through those doors and conquer my destiny.”

Rounding out the year, Fonzworth Bentley joined actress Claudia Jordan and singer LeToya Luckett, hosting the red carpet for the premiere of the Centric Presents: 2009 Soul Train Awards, marking the return of the classic music awards show and highlighting R&B music’s finest of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Hosted by Taraji P. Henson and Terrance Howard, the show drew in 4.0 million total viewers-making it the #1 telecast for the fourth quarter in BET History (NMR, Live 11/29).

With 2010 on the horizon, Bentley readies himself for an eventful 2010 starting with the release of his new single “Knowitall” and accompanying video in January from his upcoming album CoolOutrageousLoversOfUniquelyRawStyle on E1/ G.O.O.D. Music. The album is slated to be released during the early spring.
